MUSEUM EXPERIENCES: WORKSHOPS, TOURS, FESTIVALS, AND BEYOND

Connecting Learners to Museums and Cultural Institutions

Museums are stewards of cultural history, science, and art. These institutions reflect our everyday lived experiences and people and places long past and far away through objects and stories. With informal tours, hands-on activities, digital experiences and more, K-12 students, adults, and families can explore in a self-directed way with support.

MY PROJECTS

AMAZING ANATOMY

STEAM and History at The Morgan Library & Museum

Families were led together through the exhibition It's Alive! Frankenstein at 200 to explore the evolution of the story of the classic story from 1818 till present day, as well as the history of medical equipment and anatomical theory.

After, families learned how to use everyday materials to create anatomically correct hands with moving parts, and transformed these hands into ghoulish creations of their own!

THE DISCOVERY ROOM

Hands-on Sensory Science at the American Museum of Natural History

Families and classes are led through free choice and directed learning experiences in the areas of Biodiversity, Anthropology, and Paleontology using live animals, crafts, gallery exploration, and storytelling.
